Info
When two Greek companies with an international presence and a shared culture of innovation come together, technology does not simply follow developments. It creates the next standard.
Neptune Lines, with a strong international presence in automotive logistics and Ro/Ro transportation, and MTIS, Member of QnR Group, specializing in Maritime Technology & Intelligence, join forces to create an advanced Digital Standard for the modern fleet: a unified, highly available and intelligent technology environment deployed across the fleet, centrally managed from shore and enhanced by AI-enabled surveillance.
From resilient onboard IT to intelligent surveillance and real-time operational visibility, the partnership creates a modern connected digital environment, designed not only for today’s needs, but also for the next generation of vessels.
The scale reflects the operational requirements: Neptune Lines operates a fleet of more than 20 PCTC vessels, serving 50 ports across 27 countries, with approximately 3,000 port calls and 1.3 million miles annually.
Resilience at Sea. Control from Shore.
At the heart of the technology infrastructure is the MTIS i-Platform©, which provides Neptune Lines’ ICT team with centralized access, monitoring and management of the fleet from shore.
MTIS takes an end-to-end approach: from needs analysis and optimal design to installation and commissioning of the onboard environment, followed by continuous 24/7 technical support. Most importantly, this is not a standalone technology project. The technology strategy is adopted across the fleet and extended to Neptune Lines’ newbuild vessels, creating an infrastructure that can evolve alongside the company and its operational needs.
C. Kapodistrias, Group ICT Manager at Neptune Lines, notes that reliability and continuity are critical factors for a fleet operating worldwide, highlighting the importance of the standardized IT environment, centralized management through the i-Platform© and AI-enabled capabilities that contribute to enhanced operational visibility and safety.
For MTIS, Member of QnR Group, the partnership is a clear example of its strategy in Maritime Technology & Intelligence, combining specialized expertise and advanced technologies for mission-critical maritime environments.
