PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The project’s scope was the digitization of each Registry Act from the participating in the project Registry Offices and their migration to the Central Infrastructure of the National Registry.

The Digitization included both the scanning of the Registry Acts and the data entry of their civil status data, so as to create the necessary content in the Central Infrastructure of the National Registry. 

More specifically, the project included:

-The book-scanning of the Registry Acts, covering a geographical area of 6.000.000  inhabitants.
-The Processing in order to improve the quality of the scanned Registry Acts 
-The Documentation (classification on specific fields / metadata) of the scanned Registry Acts.
-The Quality control of the data
-The data entry of the civil status data of the majority of the scanned Registry Acts.

- The data migration into the central Citizens' database
